Come enjoy the hunting experience of a lifetime at High Plains Hunting & Lodge. With an abundance of geese, ducks, dove, hogs and turkey, there is never a dull moment. Texas offers some of the best hunting in America. Orville Speck, owner, has been hunting in the Big Country for over 60 years and each year the hunting gets better and better. Our guides are seasoned experts in finding the perfect location to deliver the best hunt possible. With a wide variety of fields to choose from, we can always produce the birds. Hunting is basic; High Plains Hunting is EPIC!

Our full service lodge offers three home-cooked meals a day, prepared personally by our staff in the lodge's kitchen. Come enjoy a delicious taste of Texas with us! Once you've tasted our chicken-fried steak and gravy, you'll never want to leave. 

High Plains Hunting is a relaxing getaway to kick back and spend some time away from the city.  Ditch the 9-5 and traffic, and step into fresh air and wide open spaces. Spend your evenings playing a hand of poker, shooting a game of pool, or relaxing on our comfortable couches watching the big game. At the end of the day, take a long, hot shower and climb into the crisp, clean sheets of our bunks. The Lodge is a great place to get together with old friends and make some new ones.
